How does one grow up on a planet that is destroying itself? Filmmaker Pieter Van Eecke provides a possible response to this urgent question. For four years, he has followed the beautiful and mischievous friendship between Bo and Luca, two teenagers who are as enthusiastic in their ecological activism as in their experience of the contradictory and surprising travails of growing up.

Pieter Van Eecke is a filmmaker and climate activist based in Brussels. His first feature length documentary SAMUEL IN THE CLOUDS (2016) was awarded worldwide, a.o. Gold Hugo Award at Chicago Film Festival, Gold Gentiano at Trento Film Festival & the Full Frame Environmental Award. His second feature HOLDING UP THE SKY premiered at FIFDH 2023 and is to be theatrically released in Belgium and the Netherlands. His 3rd feature film, PLANET B, about two climate youngsters joining Extinction Rebellion, will premiere at Visions du Réel 2023 in the Grand Angle competition.
